Spinal Cord Stimulation Implant Surgery
This video shows Dr. Urie implanting a spinal cord stimulator.

A spinal cord stimulator (SCS), is a device surgically placed under your skin to send a mild electric current to your spinal cord.  A small wire carries the current from a pulse generator to the nerve fibers of the spinal cord.

What to expect on your first visit... 

  1. You will be required to provide a Urine Drug Screen. 

  2. You will not be prescribed to on the first visit. (it will take 2weeks until the urine drug screen comes back)

  3. New Patient  Visits are about an Hour long and consists of an Exam and Evaluation.

What will you need on your first visit...

  1. Insurance card 

  2. ID 

  3. Any recent Imaging or records (Xray, MRI) 

  4. An updated list of CURRENT Medications
